Rocket Shakedown To Kick Off 2026. February 28th

Paris, Texas — Rocket Raceway Park is set to fire up the 2026 racing season in thrilling fashion with the 2026 Shakedown, taking place Saturday, February 28, 2026. Fans can expect a full night of high-octane dirt track action as some of the region’s top drivers battle it out across multiple competitive divisions.
The Shakedown serves as the official season opener, giving teams their first opportunity to dial in their equipment and make an early statement in front of the Rocket Raceway faithful.

For the fans! We have over 50 T-shirts to give-a-way throughout the night. Come early, catch a T-shirt from our new T-shirt cannon, and enjoy a great night of racing!

Racing at the Shakedown:

Day Motorsports Modifieds — $1,000 to win / $100 to start
Stock Cars — $500 to win / $100 to start
J&G Services Limited / B-Mods — $500 to win / $100 to start
Jr. Limited Mods — $275 to win / $100 to start
Offen Petroleum Factory Stocks — $500 to win / $100 to start

Pit Gate Opens: 1:00 PM

We will have a media day available for the drivers from 1-4pm. This will give drivers a chance to have head shots made, free hero cards made, interviews, and hype video filming. This is all free and designed to help market and grow your racing program. You don't want to miss this.

We will host an Open Practice that will happen after last feature Saturday night. We will have a short break, but and open the track for 60 minutes or as time allows. Don't have to be racing that night. Open to any race cars. Fire/Ems/Flag man will remain in place.

Eco Mods- same rules as last year
Factory stocks- USRA rules (Not Sanctioned) with the exception of headers are allowed. Headers that are legal are the following part # SCE-1485, SCE-1485-20, SCE-1485-22.
Limiteds/B-Mods- USRA rules (Not Sanctioned)
Stock Cars- USRA rules (Not Sanctioned)
Modifieds- Open rules allowing USRA, TOMS, IMCA, USMTS. No Muffler Required. Tires: G60 Hoosiers & American Racer KK704 are legal. Grinding, Grooving & Siping allowed. Mix and match any way you choose. (Similar to 67 Speedway rules)
